Subject: All activities on hold
West Michigan Therapy Dogs Inc. is suspending all activities effective immediately. Michigan’s Governor Whitmer declared a state of emergency on March 10, 2020, related to the spread of coronavirus, COVID-19. In order to protect WMTD clients and volunteers, all previously approved visits, classes, and meetings are cancelled until further notice. New requests for visits will not be addressed during this time.
The State of Michigan’s Community Mitigation Strategy specifically includes the following recommendation: Reduce in-person gatherings and activities, especially for organizations with individuals at risk of severe illness.
